Michael Parker Principal
Michael is the founder and President of BlackRock Resources, LLC. With over 15 years of staffing and consulting industry experience, he knew it was time for him to create a firm that challenged the status quo and embraced the changes of an industry dominated by large companies with rigid business structures. He has worked with both large and start-up firms during his career and has been successful everywhere he has been. He got his start as an account executive for a Pittsburgh based IT Consulting firm prior to the Y2K boom and has quickly moved up the ranks ever since. Michael has had the pleasure of working with many mentors over the years that have helped him strengthen his core principles of Integrity, Execution and Innovation. His strong belief in the need to constantly push oneself to learn and change has made him a leader in the industry. Most people will point to Michael's knowledge, experience and work ethic for his success but it his reputation for respect of all levels of people that he contributes to his ability to succeed. Michael relies on team approach to solving his customer's problems and that team extends to the partnership he forges with his customers.
Michael was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area before attending the University of Dayton to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Go Flyers). He has traveled extensively throughout the USA including spending 10 years in Los Angles before returning to the Pittsburgh area to raise his family. He now lives south of Pittsburgh in the Peters Township community with his wife Christine and his four daughters. When he is not working on BlackRock Resources he is spending time with his family of dancers or volunteering in the local community.
Director of Engineering & Field Services
Tara Cooper is a Project Director with BlackRock Resources based in West Virginia. Tara is seasoned in the natural gas industry with her expertise including corporate and branch offices, construction, project management, procurement, contract bidding/analysis, contracts administration, project data books, as well as interaction with clients to procure additional projects. During project execution, Tara actively engages with State and County Agencies, DOT, Developers, and Environmental Groups.
Tara has been administratively responsible for transmission pipelines, natural gas compressor stations, and Marcellus Shale projects located in 9-nine states covering the northern and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.
Director of Staffing and Consulting Service
Stephanie Glandon is Director of Staffing and Consulting Services for BlackRock Resources. For the past 20+ years, Stephanie has focused her career on developing and managing relationships with clients who have utilized contract staffing to support internal and growth-based projects. She also supported employees who filled these critical roles for various client assignments and projects. Stephanie has played an active role in developing relationships with client managers/directors, as well as hiring and managing the contract staff. The industries she has focused in encompass Chemical, Petro-Chemical, Refining, Manufacturing, and Oil, Gas & Pipeline.
Stephanie joined BlackRock Resources to focus on managing our client relationships and further expand our ability to meet the demands of our clients. She has an extensive understanding of the engineering and operations side of supporting client needs, as well as field, technical, administrative, cost, scheduling, and other key positions that add value to critical projects, where contract staffing or consulting services are of a value to the customer. Stephanie also has a vast understanding of the recruiting process, and what is required to maintain a low turnover rate of employees. She engages on all levels, and spends a lot of time onsite, working with our employees and client managers to maintain our existing business, as well as identify new opportunities.
Stephanie is based in Charleston, WV and supports BlackRock Resources' geographical business territory. Stephanie is a lifelong resident of WV. She attended Concord College, where she studied Business and Marketing. She has two children and is very active in their school and extra-curricular activities. Director of Business Development
Gene Pietrowski is a Director of Business Development with BlackRock Resources covering the BlackRock Resources geographical footprint including the NE. Gene has 27 years in the consulting engineering industry with professional responsibilities including project management, corporate radiation safety, market segment leader, and business development executive. He has spent his career in the energy industry with the past decade focused on oil & gas. His experience has crossed the energy spectrum with projects in electric generation, electric transmission, oil & gas, and industrial.
A national subject matter expert on inventory services, Gene has published multiple articles, newsletters, and presentations. He is an active participant in various professional organizations including: PIOGA (Pennsylvania Independent Oil & Gas Association), WVONGA (West Virginia Oil and Natural Gas Association), IOGA of WV (Independent Oil and Gas Association of West Virginia), ARIPPA, NWSA (National Weighing and Sampling Association), ABGPSA (Appalachian Basin Gas Processors Association) to name a few.
Gene has been a top performer with 27 years dedicated service to the industry and his clients. He has a proven track record in highly effective operational and organizational management. An innovative problem solver who excels in resolving complex technical issues and exceptional communicator with strong abilities in leading diverse groups. Gene is a key leader in the continued success of business unit geographical expansions and continued market share growth, including the development and implementation of customer service improvement plans and initiatives. He consistently drives project quality and efficiencies through his analytical decisions and has been instrumental in the growth and development of business but also industry clients and their needs.
Gene was raised in central PA and graduated from St. Francis University with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with continued focus on project management/controls and materials at Penn State under their civil engineering program. He spends his spare time on community projects and as president of the local youth baseball program.
Director of Business Development/Account Executive
Kevin has 20 years' experience in the operational Air Force and 14 years' experience in recruiting. After his military career, he worked in both the staffing industry and as a Senior Corporate Recruiter. He has an outstanding record of achievement coupled with the ability to build and direct a business to profitability through leadership, creativity, and effective management.
Director of Construction & Inspection Services
Greg has over 30 years of experience (8+ on international assignments) in all phases of oil & gas project construction and quality assurance/control management for transmission and midstream oil & gas, refined products, and other energy-related pipelines and support facilities. Greg's mandate is to recruit and cultivate the very best management and inspection personnel in the country on behalf of our clients.
Greg holds an Bsc Project Engineering with an emphasis in Pipeline Technology and has built and managed project teams throughout the USA and the world including Russia, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan.
