BlackRock Resources is searching for a TALENTED HUMAN RESOURCES REP for a client located outside of the Chicago area.  

Responsible for administering various HR plans and procedures for all plant personnel. Assist in the development and implementation of all policies and procedures as it relates to our employees. Handle personnel matters as it relates hiring, interviews, on-boarding, separations and daily personnel reports.

Position Responsibilities / Objectives

  • Responsible for recruiting efforts as it relates to reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and onboarding for plant personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining all employee personnel files in an organized manner.
  • Assist in building networks within the community to seek qualified candidates.
  • Attend Job Fairs and High School Career Fairs for recruiting and company relationships.
  • Assist employees with all benefit related matters such as health insurance, 401k, life insurance, and vacation matters.
  • Assist in coordinating, maintaining and supporting the entire organization as it relates to any all company functions such as (Luncheons and Health and Safety Fairs).
  • Coordinates new employee hires – procures uniforms, helmets with proper identification of name and sets up lockers.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • H.S. Diploma, or its equivalency in experience and/or training.
  • Experience with HR Practices (1+Year or related experience)
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (1+ year)
  • Strong analytical and organizations skills necessary.
  • Self-managed and highly motivated
  • Good communication skills, ability to multi-task and quickly grasp tasks
  • Bilingual; Preferably Spanish
