BLACKROCK RESOURCES is looking for a Material Science Engineer for a Contract Role with our client in Houston
Design materials, structures, and systems while considering the limitations imposed by practicality, regulation, safety, and cost.
Conduct feasibly studies, resource requirements both people and materials and setting standards for both operating and development activities.
Participates in the implementing and project management of research and development projects related to various materials technologies and processes.
Responsible for providing engineering support to the Materials team for design, construction and maintenance of pipeline and energy assets.
Requires general to mature engineering knowledge while managing deviations from standard methods while more senior individuals will manage the coordination of difficult and impactful assignments by utilizing new approaches to come up with solutions to unusual problems and resolving most conflicts.
Considered a fully qualified Material Science Engineer; Responsible for material engineering-related work with a primary focus on material science philosophies.
Supports the development of specifications and work processes required for operations, engineering and the qualification of alternative or current materials being used in structural components of a project.
Provide oversight of junior engineering staff and evaluate material substitution proposals from various internal and external sources
