Blackrock Resources has a client in the Northern New Jersey area that is looking for a Safety Manager in 2 different locations. The right person will be a leader and be knowledgeable in OSHA and safety standards.
Required Skills
- 3 plus years of food manufacturing experience or equivalent manufacturing
- Hands on Experience with OSHA Standards
- Knowledge of MSDS Chemical Safety
- Experience with Safety training of Employees
- Ability to Complete of Blood Borne Pathogen Training
Job Responsibilities:
- Be the Leader of the Occupational Safety Committee, and all Occupational Safety Programs and Policies
- Perform routine walkthrough inspections of facilities to assure compliance to safety standards.
- Assure compliance with OSHA
- Provide ongoing Safety Trainng to all employees
- 'Hands on' liason with Maintenance as it relates to Safety of Personnel and Equipment
- Investigate job related work injuries and incidents and comply with insurance company recommendations regarding reduction in workforce injury rates
- Advise management and Human Resources on status of investigations, any ongoing issues and give recommendations for corrective action, to include additional safety training
