BlackRock Resources has a client that is looking for a Scientific Administrator for a position that will work directly with the President of the company. This position will have mentorship, opportunity to be in the lab and grow within in the organization.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field (science, engineering) preferred for product/project comprehension
- 1-2 years of administrative/office experience preferred
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook)
- Experience developing technical content for reports and presentations
- Experience in creating complex Excel and PowerPoint documents
Skills Desired
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to adjust messages to fit an audience, and excellent command of English language and proper grammar
- Detail oriented and organized; able to work independently on specific tasks; and able to meet deadlines
- Proven ability to proficiently and accurately perform tasks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to change, and work well under pressure is essential.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and in dealing with professionals inside and outside the company; proven ability to build strong relationships with employees and managers and work well with all personality types
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the administrative functions of the Founder & President including preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Develop and maintain appropriate presentation of materials for key internal and external constituents
- Develop proactive strategies to ensure that assigned projects meet completion including appropriate follow up with cross functional team contacts as needed
- Ensure any conflicts that are preventing tasks being completed to the agreed timescales are brought to the attention of the President as soon as possible
- Organize and schedule administrative meetings with technical persons
- Provide administrative project support from initiation to closure by preparing project folder materials and other documents as needed
- Maintain the President's record keeping system consisting of both electronic and paper files
- Serve as the point of contact for the President's callers, visitors, and guests to ensure a smooth, welcoming reception
- Provide support for meetings and client visits by scheduling rooms, directing visitors, and arranging catering
