Key Objectives
• Help the team successfully build a highly visible crude oil pipeline project in the US and Canada
• Assist in the development of a program execution plan for the construction of 28 pump stations
• Project manage the construction of two pump stations in 2019
• Commit to a Zero is Real safety culture
Key Qualifications
• Engineering degree
• 10+ years of experience. Must include:
- PM for the design and construction of greenfield facilities Operating company experience such as construction contractor bid package preparation and bid cycle management
• Field experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated history of continuing education in formal or informal settings
• Candidate must demonstrate ability to perform job duties building on previous experience, existing skillset, on the job training, and ability to learn on the fly with limited mentoring
General
• Able to travel within the United States and Canada
• Possess sound judgement and appropriate sensitivity to the public nature of the project
• Ability to navigate a complex and geographically diverse weak matrix organization
Technical
• Familiarity with oil and gas scoping, survey, engineering, design, construction management, inspection, turn over documentation, and commissioning
• Background and personal interest in the oil and gas industry is required
• Working knowledge of oil and gas codes such as:
- ASME B31.3
- ASME B31.4
- National Electrical Code Handbook
- API 5L
- 49 CFR 195
• Experience with:
- Site layout
- Construction sequencing
- Cold weather construction
- Construction management and inspection
- Operator standards and specifications
Project Management
• Procurement
