BlackRock is searching for a Structural Designer for our client in the Pittsburgh Area for a contract role
Structural Designer/Drafter with 10+ years experience in the layout and drafting of architectural, industrial and municipal building structures and foundations. This position requires:
- A strong background in structural drafting with AutoCad.
- Excellent organizational skills,
- Excellent oral and written communication skills,
- Excellent AutoCAD and general computer skills, and
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for 3D Cadd.
The individual will be responsible for:
- Performing structural layout, drafting, and checking of construction drawings in 2D AutoCad, 3D CADWorx, and Advance Steel;
- Developing 3D structural models in CADWorx, Advance Steel, and/or Revit Structure;
- Mentoring junior drafting and engineering staff;
- Enforcing and maintaining structural drafting standards; and
- Managing the drawing list during project execution.
Project types include: industrial buildings and structures; structural repairs, alterations and additions; environmental structures; equipment foundations; equipment structural supports; pipe racks; site retaining walls; and demolition drawings.
